Convo Family Day is a two-day event held in Lumut and it was specially organized by the HRM department of convofair 2010. There were 123 committee members who attended for the family day.This family day primarily aims to bridge the bonding between the committee members also among the HICOM of convofair 2010.
This family day consist of several fun and engaging activities, as well as sound sharing sessions from members of the committee members. The activities consist of modules that focus in team building, creative thinking, bridging gap between team members and also critical thinking. Besides, we do include sports in our flow of program as well as we need to be physically strong in handling events too. All these modules are designed in such a way so that the committee members of convofair 2010 are well –trained to face problems that arise in handling the events of their department in future. Besides, we also exposed them to many critical thinking activities so that they are well-prepared to face real-life situation that will occur throughout their commitment in handling convofair 2010.
The first day which is on the 14th of July, the activities were all held in the apartment where we stayed itself. Our dinner was then organized in a spectacular scenery venue which is at Coral Fishing Resort. Our advisor gave a very inspirational speech regarding the future of our career and place for internship on that memorable night. He emphasized that a successful graduate is not one who excel only in studies but extra curriculum such as taking part in events are also equally vital in developing a well-rounded graduate.
On the second day, our activities were again held in the apartment and we departed from the apartment around noon to have lunch at a restaurant around Lumut area.
Those who were involved in the event itself, be they the committee members from convofair 2010 or the organisers, it helped both parties to gain more experience, enhance their teamwork abilities, improve leadership skills, increase their confidence in delivering their messages, improve their communication skills and had fun with each other.
All in all, this event has helped to strengthen the bonds between the members in convofair 2010.some sweet memories of us~~
